Bringing Christmas Cheer
I love the 1966 cartoon “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” I took my kids to see the new Grinch movie and have been singing the Who-ville Christmas song ever since…
The song is officially called Welcome Christmas (listen here):
Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze!
Welcome Christmas bring your cheer!
Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze!
Welcome all who’s far and near!
It’s the perfect song for this wonderful time of the year when we gather together with friends and relatives.
Holiday Parties and Christmas Punch
Like the Whos down in Who-ville, we’ve been busy attending Christmas parties and neighborhood gatherings. To spread the Christmas cheer I love to bring a special drink or appetizer to casual get-togethers with friends and neighbors.
This year my favorite party drink to bring is Spiced Christmas Punch. It’s a simple holiday punch recipe made with fruit juice, ginger ale, vodka, triple sec and spices. It’s refreshing with all the flavors of the season.
How to Make Christmas Punch
Make an easy Christmas party punch by combining triple sec, vodka, orange juice, cranberry juice, orange juice and ginger ale in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Punch up the holiday flavors by adding ground cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg to taste. (See exact measurements below.)Print

Spiced Party Punch Garnishes
Dried spices and fresh fruit make the perfect garnish for this Christmas punch! To dress up my drinks I use whole cinnamon sticks, fresh cranberries, and orange slices studded with whole cloves.
How to Make Clove Studded Orange Slices
- Slice oranges into “wheels” that are approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a wooden toothpick to make holes about 1/4 inch apart all the way around each slice.
- Poke dried cloves into the holes.
- Float orange slices in your punch bowl or add to glasses.
I hope you enjoy this tasty (and easy) Christmas punch!
