DIY Carpet Deodorizer Powder (and Scrub)

This multi-function cleaning powder is a versatile solution for many of your cleaning woes. It not only cleans and refreshes but also helps eliminate unwanted odors from surfaces. Try it today, you won’t be disappointed!



  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 1015 drops of essential oil (optional)


  1. Measure all ingredients into a small glass bowl or glass measuring cup.
  2. Stir until there are no lumps to distribute the cleaning ingredient evenly.
  3. Spoon powder into a shaker container for easy application.

This multi-purpose DIY powder can be an abrasive cleaner and a deodorizer.
To freshen: Sprinkle lightly on rugs, carpet, or upholstery, let stand for 15 minutes, then vacuum thoroughly. 
To scrub: Sprinkle in damp sinks, bathtubs, or toilets or onto a damp sponge then scrub and rinse clean.

Keep pets and children away while cleaning and off the cleaned area for 30 minutes after product use.
